Responding to new research suggesting that wealthy people are more likely than poor people to lie and cheat to get ahead, LDI Senior Fellow Art Caplan told Bloomberg News that "Support for free-market capitalism will collapse if those who do well don't do good." The director of Penn's Center for Bioethics said "Rapacious, intolerant, nonempathetic capitalism that says lie, cheat, steal, it's only the bottom line that matters -- aside from being morally repugnant, it’s got a dim future.”
