The national effort to drive down health care costs hasn't filtered very deeply into the world of graduate medical education yet -- a fact that LDI Senior Fellow Mitesh Patel, MD, MBA, and his team are trying to change. His latest article in the Journal of General Internal Medicine lays out a framework for a value-based GME curriculum. Patel is a physician and Robert Wood Johnson Clinical Scholar at Penn's Perelman School of Medicine. Also read the Penn Medicine news release.
