The work of a team led by LDI Senior Fellow Kevin Volpp using lottery-based incentives for warfarin adherence is cited in a Wall Street Journal article as an example of one of the most meaningful health-related research projects recently funded by the federal government. The research team includes Volpp, MD, PhD, Director of the LDI Center for Health Incentives and Behavioral Economics; LDI Senior Fellow Stephen Kimmel, MD MSCE, Professor of Medicine at Penn's Perelman School of Medicine; George Loewenstein, PhD, Carnegie Mellon University Professor of Economics and Psychology and Director of the Center for Behavioral and Decision Research; and Andrea Troxel, ScD, Penn Professor of Biostatistics.
