Ezekiel Emanuel, Wall Street Journal, Romney-Ryan Health Vision
In a Wall Street Journal opinion piece co-authored with former CMS chief Donald Berwick and the Center for American Progress CEO Neera Tanden, Ezekiel Emanuel takes the GOP health care vision to task. He argues that health care's most important debate is not about government control vs. individual choice, but rather about whether to adopt less costly and more efficient delivery practices or push the escalating financial burden to patients, businesses and states. Emanuel, who served as a top White House advisor and an architect of the Affordable Care Act, is Penn's Vice Provost for Global Initiatives and chair of the Department of Medical Ethics and Health Policy.
