“Controlling Health Care Costs Through Limited Network Insurance Plans: Evidence from Massachusetts State Employees”

Robin McKnight is an Associate Professor of Economics at Wellesley College and a Research Associate in the aging and health care programs at the National Bureau of Economic Research. Robin earned a Ph.D. in economics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a B.A. from Amherst College. Prior to joining the Wellesley faculty in 2008, she was on the faculty at the University of Oregon. Robin’s research focuses on the economics of health insurance, especially issues arising from government intervention in health insurance markets. Past research projects have examined the impacts of incentives faced by providers through reimbursement policy and by patients through copayment policies. At Wellesley, Robin teaches courses in statistics, econometrics, and health economics.
