Edouard was born and raised in Chicago, IL (Flossmoor, for those familiar with the Chicagoland area). He attended the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign where he majored in Molecular/Cellular Biology. He went to medical school at the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine. Edouard moved to New York where he began his tenure on the east coast and completed his residency in emergency medicine at Jacobi/Montefiore Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He is starting at Penn as a fellow for the Center for Emergency Care & Policy Research (CECPR)/MSHP program with a concentration in violence prevention and hospital-based violence intervention research. His academic interests include ED-based public health interventions, health disparities, health services research, violence prevention, and alcohol/substance abuse. When he's not working clinically in the ED/doing research, he enjoys running, soccer, basketball, reading, and traveling particularly internationally.
