Whitney Cabey, MD, is dually-trained in pediatric and general emergency medicine. She completed her undergraduate degrees in Biochemistry and Women’s Studies at Spelman College. After undergrad, she worked for a year as a women’s rights organizer on college campuses. She obtained a medical degree from the University of Michigan, followed by residency at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, NC. She enjoys caring for both children and adults equally, leading her to pursue a fellowship in pediatric emergency medicine, again at the University of Michigan. Prior to starting the Robert Wood Johnson fellowship, she spent a year as staff physician and Assistant Clinical Professor of Pediatrics at MedStar Washington Hospital Center and Children’s National Medical Center, respectively, in Washington, DC.
