Charles Branas and Eugenia Garvin, The Atlantic, Urban Infrastructure

An article in The Atlantic magazine about the dangers posed by inner-city abandoned buildings and trash-strewn vacant lots cites the work of LDI Senior Fellows Charles Branas and Eugenia Garvin. Branas, PhD and Associate Professor of Epidemiology at Penn's Perelman School of Medicine, and Garvin, MD, MSHP and an emergency medicine resident at Perelman, have both been involved in studying the impact of deteriorated infrastructure on the overall health of Philadelphia's urban neighborhoods.
