A Conversation and Call to Action featuring Regina Herzlinger, one of the most influential and innovative people in healthcare, moderated by award-winning journalist, Jackie Judd.

This public event is the kick-off for an invite-only conference of thought leaders who will focus on nursing’s value in addressing the care needs of older adults in the US. The group will identify actionable recommendations designed to maximize on nursing’s contributions with the aim of accelerating the use of care innovations. The event is sponsored by Penn Nursing and is being coordinated by the School’s NewCourtland Center for Transitions and Health.

Regina E. Herzlinger

Regina E. Herzlinger is the Nancy R. McPherson Professor of Business Administration at the Harvard Business School. A pioneer in consumer-driven health care, she is the author of numerous books including Consumer-Driven Health Care: Implications for Providers, Prayers, and Policymakers (2004), Who Killed Health Care? (2007), and the forthcoming Innovating in Health Care Delivery (2018). Dr. Herzlinger is the recipient of numerous awards, most recently in 2017 as an Honorary Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives, and the “100 Most Influential People in Healthcare” from Healthcare Management International.

Jackie Judd

Jackie Judd, a communications consultant and active in the non-profit health care sector. For most of her career, Ms. Judd was a broadcast journalist. She reported for ABC News, NPR and, more recently, for the PBS NewsHour. Ms. Judd currently serves on the Board of Trustees of the ABIM Foundation.
