LDI/Knowledge@Wharton Health Policy Seminar with Dr. Shamsheer Vayalil

While practicing radiology at Sheikh Khalifa Medical City in the UAE, Dr. Shamsheer Vayalil saw an opportunity to venture into business. He identified a gap in the health care sector in the UAE and launched his first venture in 2007. With that began the global journey of VPS Healthcare. In building VPS, now a $1 billion enterprise that is expanding into Europe and the U.S., Dr Shamsheer (as he likes to be called) drew upon a family tradition of business and early lessons in entrepreneurship from his days in college. A big believer in the importance of doing things naturally and spontaneously, Dr Shamsheer will also speak about how making the right decisions at the right time is helping VPS Healthcare grow rapidly into a global health care conglomerate.
