GLP-1 drugs are rapidly reshaping the health care landscape. Their use for weight loss is growing, new oral formulations are entering the market, and indications for their use are expanding. At the same time, Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurers face growing pressure to determine how to cover these effective but costly treatments, prompting new delivery and payment models. As debates over access and affordability intensify, researchers are exploring new uses, suggesting further disruption may be on the horizon. This panel will examine the evolving GLP-1 policy landscape, with a focus on cost, access, and health system-wide implications.
