Jesse Y. Hsu, PhD, MS is Associate Professor of Biostatistics in the Department of Biostatistics, Epidemiology and Informatics at Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Hsu joined the University of Pennsylvania in 2014. Prior to joining the University of Pennsylvania, he completed his post-doctoral training at the University of Pennsylvania under the supervision of Dr. Dylan Small (Wharton) and Dr. Scott Lorch (CHOP). Dr. Hsu’s statistical research projects focus on statistical methods in observational studies, inverse probability treatment weighting, and potential (counterfactual) outcomes approach in causal inference, survival analysis, and longitudinal data analysis. He has a general interest in statistical applications to public health, epidemiology, and health policy research. Dr. Hsu is involved in several collaborative research projects in renal diseases established by the National Institute of Diabetes, Digestive, and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK). Dr. Hsu obtained his PhD in Biostatistics at the University of Pittsburgh.
