Morine Cebert Gaitors, PhD, FNP-C is a postdoctoral fellow in the National Clinicians Scholars Program and a student in the Master of Science in Health Policy Research program. Dr. Gaitors is a women’s health nurse researcher studying psychobiological, clinical, and sociocultural factors that influence African American/Black women’s decision making in reproductive endocrinology. She recently completed a mixed-methods dissertation that examined these factors on seeking, initiating, and completing treatment for infertility; a project that was funded by the National Institutes of Health - National Institute for Nursing Research (F31).

Dr. Gaitors completed her undergraduate degree in Nursing at Boston College where she was a Keys to Inclusive Leadership in Nursing Scholar. Following three years of bedside nursing in emergency departments in Connecticut and New York City, she completed a masters of nursing at Winston-Salem State University as a Bridges to the Doctorate Scholar and is a certified family nurse practitioner. She completed her Doctorate in Philosophy with a concentration in Nursing Science at Duke University School of Nursing as a Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Future of Nursing Scholar funded by Johnson & Johnson, Inc.
