Dr. Pengxiang Li is a Senior Research Investigator in the Division of General Internal Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania, School of Medicine. He received a Master of Arts in Social Medicine and Health Management from Fudan University and a Ph.D. in Health Services and Policy from the University of Iowa. His research areas include pharmaceutical health services research and policy, comparative effectiveness research, hospital patient safety and quality, rural healthcare delivery, regulation and hospital competition. Dr. Li currently serves as a member of the International Health Economics Association Scientific Committee and the Economic Subcommittee for the Committee on Scientific Advancement in Family Medicine (CASFM). His work appears in journals such as Annals of Internal Medicine, Health Services Research, Inquiry, Value in Health, Health Care Management Review, Contemporary Economic Policy, Medical Care Research and Review, Journal of Rural Health, International Journal of Health Finance and Economics, Arthritis Care and Research, Journal of Medical Systems, and Annals of Family Medicine.
