Rachel French, BSN, RN is a T32 doctoral research fellow in the Center for Health Outcomes and Policy Research (CHOPR) at the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing. Her research interests include patient outcomes as they relate to the organization of nursing services and health disparities among vulnerable patient populations. After obtaining her BSN from Boston College in 2017, Rachel worked as an RN in Boise, ID at a Federally Qualified Health Center that provided primary care to a largely underserved population. She is passionate about her work with opioid addiction and is interested in evaluating the role of nurses in addressing the opioid crisis. With an eye towards health policy, Rachel looks to expand upon her research interests by taking a systemic, rather than individual, approach.
