Dr. Keren is a Professor of Pediatrics and Epidemiology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania, and an attending physician at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). He is Senior Vice President and Chief Medical Officer at CHOP. His Center for Healthcare Quality and Analytics provides support for improvement and analytics initiatives designed to improve quality, safety, and operations at CHOP. Previously, he was the founder and director of the Center for Pediatric Clinical Effectiveness, a center of emphasis at the CHOP Research Institute. Dr. Keren finds inspiration for his research questions and quality improvement projects from his work caring for children hospitalized on CHOP’s general pediatric inpatient service.
