Comron Saifi, MD is an Assistant Professor of Orthopaedic surgery at the University of Pennsylvania. He specializes in pediatric and adult spine surgery. His research interests include various facets of health economics for spine surgery. Currently Dr. Saifi is investigating postoperative transitional care in spine surgery, the effect of virtual scribes in the clinic on patient outcomes and cost effectiveness, cost effectiveness of automated patient reminders via text message, and the integration of clinical decision making tools within the electronic medical health record.
Dr. Saifi received his undergraduate degree in engineering from Cornell. He received his medical degree from Columbia University. He performed his orthopaedic surgery residency training at Columbia University/New York-Presbyterian hospital. He completed his surgical fellowship in pediatric and adult spine surgery at Rush University Medical Center. He has published numerous research papers in peer-reviewed academic journals.
