Erin Aakhus, MD, MSHP is an Assistant Professor and Assistant Fellowship Program Director in the Division of Hematology-Oncology at the University of Pennsylvania. In her research, she employs qualitative and quantitative methods to study bioethics issues in cancer care, including resource allocation, health equity, and access to novel treatments. Aakhus is also involved in research on gender and racial equity in the academic medical profession. She completed a fellowship in Hematology/Oncology and received a Master of Science in Health Policy Research (MSHP) from the University of Pennsylvania.
