Erin Aakhus, MD, MSHP is an Assistant Professor and Assistant Fellowship Program Director in the Division of Hematology-Oncology at the University of Pennsylvania, where she completed a fellowship in Hematology/Oncology, and received a Master’s of Science in Health Policy Research (MSHP). In her research, she employs qualitative and quantitative methods to study bioethics issues in cancer care, including resource allocation, health equity, and access to novel treatments. She is also involved in research on gender and racial equity in the academic medical profession.
