Evan Dalton, MD is a Pediatric Hospital Medicine fellow at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and a fellow in the Pediatric Hospital Epidemiology and Outcomes Research Training program managed by the Center for Pediatric Clinical Effectiveness. He is currently enrolled in the Master of Science in Health Policy Research program at the University of Pennsylvania with a Concentration in Healthcare Quality and Safety.

Dr. Dalton is interested in investigating and improving admissions to children’s hospitals for behavioral health conditions. His current work is focused on better understanding the outcomes of these hospitalizations as well as their function within the system of pediatric behavioral health care. He has previously studied methods of restraint reduction and the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on children with behavioral health conditions.

Dr. Dalton received his medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine and completed his residency training in General Pediatrics at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
