Graeme R. Williams, MD, MBA, is a resident physician training in the department of radiation oncology at the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Williams completed his bachelor’s degrees in Economics and Systems Science Engineering at the University of Pennsylvania. Following graduation, he served 4 years in the United States Air Force where he had the opportunity to serve as a nuclear missile operator on 24-hour nuclear alerts, instructor for nuclear missile operators, trainer for the missile competition team, and finally flight commander overseeing 25+ personnel on a daily basis. After completion of his service commitment he attended medical school at Temple University where he was active in multiple groups with an interest in healthcare policy and the practice of medicine. He maintains interest in various sub-disciplines of health systems science and is interested in researching healthcare economics, practice patterns, and the policy implications of patient-centered care.
