Jason A. Brant, MD is a board certified otologist/neurotologist and Assistant Professor at the University of Pennsylvania. He has clinical expertise in the medical and surgical treatment of diseases of the ear and lateral skull base, including hearing loss, cholesteatoma, vertigo, glomus tumors, and vestibular schwannoma. He has particular interest in hearing restoration.
Dr. Brant is the Medical Director of the cochlear implant program at the Corporal Michael J. Crescenz VA Medical Center. He has numerous peer reviewed publications and is leading a translational research program for implantable hearing devices between the University of Pennsylvania and the Center for Neurotrauma, Neurodegeneration and Restoration at the Philadelphia VAMC. He also has an interest in outcomes and disparities research, health care economics, and factors influencing access to care. Dr. Brant has clinical appointments at both the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and the Corporal Michael J. Crescenz VAMC in Philadelphia. He completed his medical degree at Washington University in St. Louis, and his residency and fellowship at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.
