Jonathan B. Edelson, MD is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the Perelman School of Medicine and a cardiologist in the Division of Cardiology at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) with a clinical focus on heart failure, transplant, mechanical circulatory support, and exercise physiology. Dr. Edelson’s research leverages large administrative databases to evaluate resource utilization and outcomes in patients with congenital heart disease and advanced heart failure, in the interest of informing cost-effective and clinically excellent care models. He also is involved in research evaluating the impact of interventional exercise programs on children and adolescents with cardiomyopathy and after heart transplant. Dr. Edelson completed his MD at the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine. His internship and residency were completed at CHOP, followed by a fellowship in pediatric cardiology and advanced fellowships in pediatric cardiomyopathy, heart transplant, and exercise physiology. He is currently working towards completion of an MSCE from the University of Pennsylvania.
