Juliana Byers, RN is a predoctoral candidate at Penn Nursing’s Center for Health Outcomes and Policy Research. Her research interests lie at the intersection of nursing care, feminist theory, and labor activism. As an LDI Fellow, Byers plans to explore systemic contributors to patient-perpetrated sexual harassment toward nurses and care workers, and examine how policy can shape safer, more supportive nursing environments. She earned her BSN from the University of Miami and brings valuable experience from her work as a bedside nurse in transitional and critical care settings in California and Florida.
