Justin Grischkan, MD

Justin Grischkan, MD is an internist and a National Clinician Scholar at the University of Pennsylvania. His research focuses on designing and implementing innovative strategies to change the way we deliver health care. This includes a focus on remote monitoring programs, utilization of telemedicine, behavioral change, and alternative models of care including hospital-at-home programs. From a policy perspective, Dr. Grischkan is interested in payment reform and the transition to value-based health care.

Dr. Grischkan received his BA in Economics from the University of Michigan. He attended the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry, where he graduated Alpha Omega Alpha. During medical school, he participated in a research fellowship at the Penn Medicine Center for Health Care Innovation. Dr. Grischkan completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital. His work has appeared in the New England Journal of Medicine, JAMA, JAMA Internal Medicine, Annals of Internal Medicine, and the Journal of General Internal Medicine, as well as the Wall Street Journal and STAT News.
