Kathy Sliwinski BSN, RN is a first-year nursing PhD scholar. She is a pre-doctoral fellow in the Center for Health Outcomes and Policy Research at Penn Nursing, and a Fontaine Society fellow. Sliwinski is particularly interested in patient-provider language discordance and how health services research can improve health outcomes for patients with limited English proficiency (LEP). She is also interested in health policy and the incorporation of healthcare research into policy making.
