Rachit Kumar, PhD

Rachit Kumar, PhD (he/him), is an MD-PhD student currently completing the last two years of medical school at the Perelman School of Medicine. His research interests include developing large-scale clinical and biomedical data analyses to advance our understanding of human disease as well as understanding the impacts of biomedical research and clinical practice on health policy. He hopes to generate and communicate insights to reduce disparities in health outcomes by informing and improving health policies. Dr. Kumar received his PhD in Genomics and Computational Biology in March 2025 under the mentorship of Dr. Marylyn Ritchie.
