Rebecca A. Hosey, RN, MPH is part of the inaugural cohort of the Leonard A. Lauder Community Care Nurse Practitioner Fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing. After completing her Master’s of Public Health at Drexel University, she continued working with community organizations to develop their COVID-19 policies, emergency preparedness plans, and support other projects such as improving mental health support in conjunction with substance use disorder treatment by establishing Prevention Point Philadelphia as Level of Care Assessment Site. She completed her Bachelor’s nursing education at the School of Nursing in 2021 and continued her work at Prevention Point Philadelphia as an infectious disease and wound care nurse. She is currently practicing as a registered nurse in wound care, abortion care, and also works as a research assistant under Dr. Shoshana Aronowitz, PhD, CRNP to understand barriers surrounding telehealth usage for people receiving opioid use disorder (OUD) treatment with buprenorphine.
