Sahityasri Thapi, MD is a Cardiovascular Medicine Fellow at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and is currently serving as co-Chief Fellow for the 2026-2027 academic year. Dr. Thapi is passionate about the intersection of health equity advancement, quality improvement, and health informatics. During her time as a Cardiovascular Fellow, she has focused her efforts on improving language access and optimizing health care delivery systems.
Thapi earned her medical degree from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai where she received Distinction in Global Health for her work focused on improving health care access for immigrant patients. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine on the health care leadership track at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.
