Tara M. Friebel-Klingner, MPH is a PhD student in Epidemiology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. Her research focuses on primary and secondary cancer prevention in high and low resource settings. She has done extensive work in the field of cancer prevention working on studies investigating genetics, risk factors, early detection and prevention efforts to reduce the morbidity and mortality of breast, ovarian, and prostate cancer. Friebel-Klingner has also collaborated with multiple international consortiums and has worked in the U.S., Senegal, and Botswana. Her current dissertation work is focusing on identifying clinical, sociodemographic, and geographic factors associated with late stage diagnosis of cervical cancer for women in Botswana.
