Xi Wang, PhD is a research scientist at the PolicyLab research center at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. Dr. Wang’s research interests include preterm birth prevention and maternal substance use. Her research seeks to ensure that mothers, children, and families have equitable access to evidence-based interventions and high-quality health care services. She is experienced in public health program evaluation and use of administrative data for observational and quasi-experimental study designs in areas of maternal and child health. Recent work includes a statewide study on the utilization of clinical interventions for recurrent preterm birth prevention among Medicaid-enrolled mothers and a nationwide study on the use of electronic cigarettes during pregnancy and in the early postpartum period. Dr. Wang received her Doctor of Philosophy, specializing in Epidemiology, from Drexel University Dornsife School of Public Health.
