Kevin Volpp Wins ACTS-AFMR Distinguished Investigator Award

The Association of Clinical and Translational Science (ACTS) and American Federation for Medical Research (AFMR) have named Kevin Volpp winner of the 2015 Award for Career Achievement and Contribution to Clinical and Translational Science.

'Distinguished investigator
Presented at the joint ACTS-AFMR Translational Science 2015 meeting in Washington, D.C., the award cites Volpp as "ACTS Distinguished Investigator for Translation From Clinical Use Into Public Benefit and Policy."

The award was accompanied by a $1,000 honorarium and an invitation to present remarks at the meeting's plenary session.

Volpp, MD, PhD, is Director of the LDI Center for Health Incentives and Behavioral Economics (CHIBE), Vice Chairman for Health Policy of the Penn Department of Medical Ethics and Health Policy, and a professor of both Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine, and Health Care Management at the Wharton School.
