Senior Fellow Therese Richmond will be inducted into the International Nurse Researcher Hall of Fame.

In a July ceremony at the International Nursing Research Congress in Prague in the Czech Republic, LDI Senior Fellow Therese Richmond will be inducted into the International Nurse Researcher Hall of Fame.

The International Awards for Nursing Excellence honor the accomplishments of nurses who are members of Sigma Theta Tau International, the Honor Society of Nursing. Richmond, PhD, CRNP, FAAN, is a Professor in the Penn School of Nursing and a Professor of Nursing in Surgery at Penn's Perelman School of Medicine.

Her research focuses on the intersection of physical and mental health after traumatic injury and its effect on recovery.

Richmond has an extensive research program in preventing violence, particularly in vulnerable populations. She co-founded and is Research Director of Penn's Firearm & Injury Center at the University of Pennsylvania and directs the Hillman Scholar Program in Nursing Innovation.
