Perelman School of Medicine Professor Peter Groeneveld is a long-time mentor for SUMR Scholars as well as a Core Faculty Member of the Philadelphia Crescenz VA Medical Center's Center for Health Equity Research and Promotion (CHERP), that has provided 20 years of crucial support to SUMR. Groeneveld, who received Harvard degrees in Computer, Electrical and Systems Engineering before he went on to get his MD, brings a different perspective to health services research. He is also Director of LDI's Health Services Research Data Center and Founding Director of Penn's Cardiovascular Outcomes, Quality and Evaluative Research Center (CAVOQER).
