2018 SUMR Research Symposium

LDI Summer Undergraduate Minority Research Scholar Program

The three-month 2018 LDI Summer Undergraduate Minority Research Scholar Program will end with a three-day SUMR Symposium on August 15, 16 and 17 in LDI’s auditorium.

The event spotlights each of the students as well as their faculty mentors as each young scholar gives a presentation about his or her mentor-directed research work. The sessions, which offer food and refreshments each day, are open to all.

Wednesday, Aug. 15th’s session runs from 8:15 a.m. to 5:15 p.m.; Thursday’s from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.; and Fridays’s from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The symposium closes the 19th annual SUMR program that brought twenty-three students from schools including Swarthmore, Spelman, Georgetown, Morgan State, Oakwood, Penn and Cornell to the Penn campus for an immersive experience in health services research.
