After the Care Crisis
“After the Care Crisis” will bring together researchers, activists, and policy advocates to discuss current contradictions in paid/unpaid care work, namely its critical importance to society yet pervasive reliance on feminization, racialization, devaluation, and marginalization. Panelists will also address ongoing civic efforts looking to transform care work in the direction of justice and equality.
The conference will open on the evening of November 15th with a screening of the documentary Care (2016), by Deirdre Fisher, followed by a full day of panels and a keynote talk by Nancy Folbre on November 16th. All events are open to the public.
Please RSVP if you plan on attending any of the panels.
