Sameed Khatana, MD, MPH is a fellow in Cardiovascular Disease at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. He completed his medical school training at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and his Internal Medicine residency at Brigham and Women’s Hospital/Harvard Medical School as part of the Medical Management Leadership Track. He received a Master of Public Health degree at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. He completed work as a Fellow at the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation on the delivery of diabetes prevention programs for Medicare patients. His research interests include quantitative evaluation of health policies, quality designation of health providers and disparities in cardiovascular care. His recent work has been published JAMA Internal Medicine, JAMA Cardiology and Circulation: Cardiovascular Interventions. His work has been publicized by multiple news outlets includes CNN, Reuters and the Philadelphia Inquirer.
