Penn LDI and the Center for Improving Care Delivery for the Aging (CICADA) are hosting a one-day, in-person seminar that comprehensively addresses the practical, conceptual, and rhetorical aspects of writing competitive NIH grant proposals.

This seminar is appropriate for junior through senior faculty members, postdoctoral fellows, and doctoral students who have had some exposure to writing grant applications, either through training, mentoring, or personal experience. All participants can use the seminar for new ideas on gaining a competitive edge in “proposalship,” how to write for a broad spectrum of reviewers, and/or for strategies in how to mentor others in proposal writing.

The workshop will be conducted by John Robertson, PhD, Grant Writers’ Seminars and Workshops, LLC. Topics covered will include:

All participants will receive an extensive handout, as well as a hard copy of the NIH Version of The Grant Application Writer’s Workbook.

Please note: There is a $100 non-refundable fee per attendee which helps cover part of the cost of the program workbook and meals. The $100 fee is payable by Penn budget code only and will be covered by your sponsoring department. All other costs, including the instructor’s fee, are covered by LDI and CICADA as hosts of this event.

We have a limited number of seats available, which will be filled on a first-come-first-serve basis. When invited, please register as soon as possible to maximize your chance of securing a place.
