Clarissa Liu, MD is a general surgery resident at the University of Pennsylvania who is currently in her research years. Her research interests lie at the intersection of medical ethics and surgery. Specifically, Dr. Liu is focused on improving palliative care utilization and end-of-life care in emergency general surgery patients. Dr. Liu earned her medical degree from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine with a Graduate Certificate in Biomedical Ethics. She graduated with Alpha Omega Alpha and Gold Humanism Honor Society honors. She is currently pursuing her Master of Science in Medical Ethics from the University of Pennsylvania.
