Ellen Munsterman, MSN is a doctoral candidate at Penn Nursing and at the NewCourtland Center for Transitions and Health. She is completing a dual degree in the Master’s in Bioethics (MBE) program at the Perelman School of Medicine. She has worked clinically as a medical/surgical and gerontological RN in the hospital setting and as a CNS and coordinator for a hospital-based NICHE (Nurses Improving Care of Healthsystem Elders) Program. Munsterman’s research is focused on hospital care of older adults with dementia and dementia-friendly hospital environments. Munsterman obtained her BSN and MSN as an Adult/Gerontological Clinical Nurse Specialist at Texas Christian University.
