Emma Gerstenzang, MD is a Fellow in the National Clinician Scholars Program (NCSP) at the University of Pennsylvania, an affiliate trainee at PolicyLab at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), a Fellow in the Pediatric Hospital Epidemiology and Outcomes Training Program managed by Clinical Futures at CHOP, and a pediatric hospital medicine Fellow at CHOP. Dr. Gerstenzang is currently enrolled in the Master of Science in Health Policy Research at the University of Pennsylvania.
Dr. Gerstenzang’s interests include improving care for children with medical complexity, and specifically digitally-enabled care models enabling transition from acute hospital care to the home, such as Hospital at Home, with a focus on health equity and health policy in this area. They completed their pediatrics residency and chief year at CHOP, and earned an MD from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons.
