Emma Max, RN is a predoctoral fellow at the NewCourtland Center for Transitions and Health. Throughout her career in multiple intensive care units, Max has cultivated research interests in end-of-life care, health equity, and transgender health care. She aims to improve end-of-life care for transgender populations and identify opportunities for growth in the health care system to address disparities. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Villanova University, where she conducted research examining the knowledge, attitudes, and self-efficacy of undergraduate nursing students providing end-of-life care.
