Garrett Keim, MD is an Assistant Professor of Anesthesia and Critical Care Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania and at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. His overall goal is to improve both in-hospital and post-discharge outcomes for children receiving mechanical ventilation. He studies the ways in which bedside imaging modalities can be used to improve understanding of pulmonary physiology and mechanical ventilatory targets. Additionally, he researches post-ICU factors that affect long term health outcomes in survivors of mechanical ventilation. Dr. Keim is a graduate of Drexel University College of Medicine and completed pediatric and pediatric critical care medicine training at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.
