Joonhyeog Park, MA, is a PhD student in the School of Social Policy and Practice at the University of Pennsylvania. His research examines the intersection of health and technology, with a particular focus on advancing digital health equity for homebound older adults. His work centers on two main areas. The first involves testing and evaluating digital health interventions, such as telehealth and remote monitoring, to assess their impact on health outcomes. The second, grounded in implementation science, explores how, why, and under what conditions these interventions succeed or fail when scaled to older populations. By integrating these approaches, Park’s goal is to ensure that digital health solutions are not only effective but also sustainably implemented in real-world settings.
Before joining Penn, Park served as a data manager and analyst at the Center for AI and Social Policy at the Korea Information Society Development Institute (KISDI). His research has been published in The Gerontologist and the Journal of Applied Gerontology. He holds a Master of Arts in social welfare from Seoul National University, South Korea.
