Leigh Ann DiFusco, PhD, RN is a Postdoctoral Fellow at Penn Nursing and the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). Dr. DiFusco’s research focuses on promoting health behaviors among adolescents with chronic health conditions. Her 25-year tenure as a nurse and clinical nurse specialist in perioperative services and cardiology at a freestanding children’s hospital has catalyzed her interest in examining health behaviors among adolescents, especially those with congenital heart disease (CHD). Her work with Penn Nursing and CHOP focuses on examining health behaviors among adolescents with CHD, with a specific focus on driving behaviors, impulsiveness, and sleep. Dr. DiFusco earned her PhD from the University of Delaware and Master of Science in Nursing and Health Care Administration from Penn.
