Matthew Klebanoff, MD, MSHP, is an Assistant Professor in the Division of General Internal Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine. His research examines barriers to prescription drug access, affordability, and utilization, particularly for obesity therapies. Recent projects have examined prior authorization policies for GLP-1 receptor agonists, Medicare Part D prescription drug coverage policies, and real-time prescription benefit tools.
Dr. Klebanoff received his MD from the Yale School of Medicine and completed his internal medicine residency at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. After residency, he remained at Penn, where he completed the National Clinician Scholars Program and earned a Master of Science in Health Policy. Clinically, he sees patients at PCAM Advanced Internal Medicine and practices inpatient medicine at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center.
