Nia Bhadra-Heintz, MD, MS

Nia Bhadra-Heintz, MD, MS, is an Assistant Professor in the Generalist Division of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Co-Director of the Perinatal Resources for Opioid Use Disorder in Penn Family Care. Her research interests include treatment of substance use disorders in peripartum women, stigma related to addiction medicine treatment, intimate partner violence, and disparities in women’s health. She is an obstetrician-gynecologist with a background in cross-cultural psychology. She completed medical school at the Boston University School of Medicine, her obstetrics and gynecology residency at the University of Pennsylvania, and a fellowship in addiction medicine at The Ohio State University.
