Ross Perfetti, MSc

Ross Perfetti, MSc is an MD-PhD candidate at Harvard University and the University of Pennsylvania, respectively. His dissertation research in cultural anthropology focuses on patient experiences of critical illness, ICU care, and medical recovery. Supported by the National Science Foundation, Wenner-Gren Foundation, Newcombe Foundation, and Leonard Davis Institute for Health Economics, his work interrogates how patients grapple with new forms of biomedical survivorship and how classification of longer-term, biological and social harms of care shapes opportunities for accountability. Perfetti is a Fellow at the Psychoanalytic Center of Philadelphia.
