Sarah Lindley, PhD is a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Perelman School of Medicine, where she works with Dr. Elizabeth Howell and a team of interdisciplinary researchers. Her work primarily focuses on understanding the social determinants of health and their impact on maternal outcomes. Dr. Lindley is currently involved in clinical trials and large-scale data analysis, including Medicaid datasets, and has expertise in causal inference, behavioral economics, and advanced statistical methods.
Dr. Lindley’s dissertation concentrated on infectious disease modeling, specifically using genetic algorithms to optimize intervention strategies. Beyond her work in the field of health economics, Dr. Lindley’s research interests include gender biases, perceptions of stigmatized language, and the application of psychology in legal contexts. Dr. Lindley earned her PhD in Economics from the University of Wyoming in 2023.
