Suzanne Tham, MSW is a PhD student at the School of Social Policy & Practice at the University of Pennsylvania. She is interested in promoting recovery and social inclusion for individuals grappling with severe mental illnesses. This commitment has driven her to delve into research that embraces a holistic approach, incorporating interventions spanning from downstream to upstream levels across micro, meso, and macro domains.

Her research agenda centers on promoting culturally safe, recovery-oriented mental health practices, with a particular emphasis on the roles of familial involvement and peer specialist engagement. She is also interested in understanding how different domains of social connectedness and citizenship facilitate the recovery process.
