Vimbai Dihwa, PhD, is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Perelman School of Medicine. Her research lies at the intersection of health services research and health policy, with a focus on evaluating the impact of public policies on equitable access to health care services among vulnerable populations. Her current work examines how Medicaid and Medicare programs and policies can improve access to care for complex populations such as dual-eligible adults by integrating care delivery and leveraging approaches like Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS).

Dr. Dihwa is trained in quantitative and qualitative research methods, with expertise in quasi-experimental methods and other econometric techniques for causal inference, as well as survey research design and analysis. Before her postdoctoral work under the mentorship of Dr. Eric Roberts, she earned her PhD in Healthcare Policy and Research from the Department of Health Policy at Virginia Commonwealth University.
